In our household, I am the go-to person for cards. I have a bin with a variety of birthday, Christmas, thank-you, sympathy and new baby cards. I used to make cards myself, but kind of got out of the habit these past few years. So, I was buying those big boxes of greeting cards from Coscto. They are cute, but not as personalized as one that is handmade.
Recently, I was feeling like I was watching way too much tv and not doing anything creative. So I packed myself up to Shoreline to make a stop at PaperZone. Then I uploaded and ordered a bunch of prints from the Walgreen's website. Add a bit of double stick tape from Fred Meyer and voila!
So, now I have a shit ton of cards for all occasions! Aaron's Dad needs a Father's Day card? How about a picture we took at the Greenwood Car Show? I need a card for my Dad for Father's Day? I have one of Hippo Hardware in Portland all ready to go! (I went to Hippo Hardware with my Dad when I was in 4th grade and he needed salvage stuff to continue the restoration project on our house in Olympia - so, see? A much more personalized card!)
The only problem is that I accidentally bought a package of 50 of the gold colored card stock and matching envelopes. It's a bit much. It reminds me of my elementary school colors - Green and Gold. But it goes nicely with photos of pumpkins. I hope everyone will be stoked to get Halloween cards this year!
