Will Work For Cocktails

I was out for a stroll the other night on my way to the library and I passed the Baronof as per usual. I noticed this sign in their door:

So I had to stop to take a closer look.

Not only do they serve breakfast all day, but they are also looking for a cocktail server! I'm not currently seeking work, but I did work as a bartender in college. It was good times all around.

Now that I think about it, the Baronof is right down the street from us, so the commute would be a breeze. And, ooooh, I wonder if they could pay me in cocktails? (A vodka tonic for me, a vodka tonic for you and pretty soon, it would be, "Why, yesh, I'd loooove to sing an REO Speedwagon song with you! Take it on the run, baby! Woooooo!" Loud thud. Server trips and falls over edge of stage.) Yeah, now that you mention it, that would probably be dangerous...

But here's to them finding a fabulous server to fill the bill! Cheers!

Hmm. The servers we've met while drinking there have not placed thoughts in my head such as, "Wow, she's fabulous!" Or, "Man, my server is so well-educated. I wonder why he/she works here?" Then again, I'm sure they don't think that of me either, when I'm face-down on the karaoke stage.

Yeah, I have to agree with you. The one bartender that works there makes me think, "I wonder if she worked here during the Kennedy Administration." But, she's probably thinking, "Who is that fool trying to sing, 'Eye of the Tiger'?"
