Dirt Devil Kurv

I've always wanted a Dust Buster style vacuum. We never had one when I was little, but my friend Jenny had one at her house and it seemed so handy to just pull it off the wall and suck up a small pile of crumbs without hauling out the big guns.

But even though I have always lusted after a Dust Buster, it was one of those things that I thought about, but never actually made it out to buy one. Meanwhile, Cheerios, peanuts and broken bits of spaghetti pile up in the corners and along the edges of our kitchen, just begging to be snorked up by a Dust Buster. Or even a broom! But I hate sweeping.

And I actually hate vacuuming even more than sweeping. I hate pulling the vacuum out of the laundry room. I hate unwrapping the cord and I hauling it all over, while trying avoid running over the cord or into furniture. I especially hate it when I pull too far and need to find a closer plug-in. By this time, I am usually sweating, swearing and red-faced. Then re-wrapping the cord is a pain and it is never easy to wedge the vacuum back into its space in the laundry room. Ugh. It is something I almost always leave up to Aaron to do. I would rather clean the toilet than vacuum or sweep!

So, when Aaron found a Dirt Devil Kurv online for $20 at Woot! and asked me if I was interested - I said, "Sign me up!" So he ordered it. And when it arrived, I was overjoyed!

It looked so stylish and was so visually pleasing, that I thought, will this thing actually work?

But it did work! And I love it!

It just lifts out of it's stand/charger and it's cordless! I am able to whiz around the kitchen, sucking up wayward crumbs, bits of dirt, and dried up peas with the greatest of ease.

The Kurv is easy to empty, too.

It's bagless, so you just pop it open, dump out the detritus, clean off the filter, and you're on your way.

It won't take the place of a regular vacuum, of course, but as long as Aaron is willing to tackle that chore, we'll be set. And I'll be on point with the Kurv to handle small jobs, corners and other places the regular vacuum can't reach. Hallelujah!
