What did we do while we were in Michigan? We celebrated Christmas and had fun opening our gifts and watching our nieces and nephew open their gifts. The kids got some pretty neat presents!
I know my brother would have been drooling over the Lego set that my nephew got and I thought that the lip gloss set that all the kids got in their stocking from Santa was very cool! (Thankfully, Aaron got me a pack of Bonne Bell Lipsmackers, so Santa didn't have to.)
What else did we do? We went out to eat and had quite a few sweet treats. Aaron and I went on walks to the local coffee shop. We took lots of pictures and hung out and we played Scattergories. (What is something that starts with the letter "n" that you would find in your purse? Uh, nunchucks? Sure. Why not?) I love that game!
One of the funnest things we did was go to a park and feed the tiny birds. They land right on your hand! It was awesome! (And hopefully not bad for the birds to be so tame around humans.)
We also saw this little guy, who was out foraging for bird seed. He was bold to come out in the daytime! (But we didn't feed him - I think possum have pretty sharp teeth. But he was happy to pick at the seeds that fell from the bird feeders.)
Another sweet critter that we got to meet was this cool cat named Tater Tot. Our niece named him. He is the most mellow cat I have ever met. He never hissed or got annoyed with anybody (not even me!).
A good time was had by all and it was nice to get a break from the snowy weather that we had here. Who would have thought that you'd have to go to Michigan to get away from all the snow in Washington?
