Shake It

There's a song that I've heard on C89 quite a few times, and when I hear it, I love it and do the super dorky car seat move-your-butt and shoulders dance and think I won't forget the lyrics so that I can look them up on the internets later. There is a bit about shaking it, and if you do it like this, I'll do it like that or something.

But after the song is over, all I can remember is the "shake it" part, but then my brain helpfully replays the line, "Shake it, baby, shake it, baby, shake it" from "Rump Shaker" by Wreckx -n- Effect and I can't remember the catchy pop song that I'm trying to search for so that I can download it to my little iPod.

So, to rectify this situation, the last time I heard the song in the car, I wrote down as many of the lyrics as I could on the inside of my checkbook. (I pulled over and parked, of course. Safety first!) Then, I raced home and did a Google search, and found that the song is by Metro Station and is fittingly titled "Shake It".

Mystery solved! (And it's totally stuck in your head now, isn't it?)
