Adieu Olivine

After Moxie P'toxie posted that Olivine was closing, I was surprised and a bit disappointed about this news. But, then I shook it off and made a mad dash over there to investigate for myself. Almost everything was indeed on sale for 40% off! Things were getting picked over, though, so there weren't a whole lot of choices for sizes. I saw some cute shoes that I coveted, but, alas, I can't wear a size 37. (That's about a size 7, y'all - and although I have small feet for my height, I can't wedge them into anything smaller than an 8.)

So, after not seeing any shoes, I poked around at the clothes, purses and sunglasses...until I happened upon a display of make-up. Hoooolllyyy shee-it! Everything in this one display was three dollars!! I almost fainted. I bought a ton of different items. Here's my booty of treasures and the sweet re-usable bag that I got.



Of all the items that I purchased, I like the Napoleon Perdis lip gloss the best.

The color is called Melanie and it's a got a great strawberry/vanilla scent that won't gag you and it's a beautiful cantaloupe color that is creme with no shimmer. I thought it might be hideous, but it's really pretty on. I gambled on it because I've been wanting to try out the new coral lip trend (and for three bucks, it's hard to go wrong.)

The other items that I got are two Lulu eyeshadows (one in Hollywood and the other in Bea) and a Napoleon Perdis eye shadow in Nude #5. I also got a Deluxe Beauty lipstick in Nigel (which is a bit bright for me, but I might be able to work it with the right gloss) and a Napoleon Perdis lipstick in Atalanta, which looks good paired with the coral lipgloss. I also got a Lulu lipgloss in French 75, that looks bubblegum pink, but goes on almost clear.

It was quite the beauty haul!
