What happens when you have way too much time on your hands? Apparently, you take pictures of Barbie and all her pals. If you're me, that is.
I was going through some pictures this afternoon and stumbled on a folder called "Barbie 07_04". Wha? Oh, riiiight. That was when I finally got some stuff out of my Dad's storage and found some of my old childhood toys - my Barbies being front and center.
As a kid, I loved my Barbies more than any other toy. My Grandma (on my Dad's side) would sew me Barbie clothes by hand all year and then give them to me in a big box for Christmas. It was legendary. I can't imagine spending all that time sewing those tiny clothes.
So, without further ado, here are some shots of my Barbie Montage...
This is Rocker Barbie and Ken (how do you like Ken's "real" hair?). I took this picture and used it to make a card to give to a friend for her wedding. (They have since gotten divorced, but I still like this photo.)
My Grandma made both the dresses in this picture (but not the apron).
Aaron got me this Barbie for Christmas a few years ago as sort of a gag gift, but I secretly love her and her nerdy glasses.
It's also good times to mess around with all the tints and everything on Photoshop.
If I had the room, I would probably buy a bunch of Barbie furniture and set it up on a bookcase (like I had it when I was little) and start buying collector's edition Barbies and buy more clothes, and... wait a second. I sound like a big creepy nerd! I'm like those Star Wars geeks you see on shows like Dr. Phil. Next thing you know, I'll be playing D&D and going to ComicCon.
Well, we don't have the space, so for now, Barbie and her box o' clothes will stay in a bin in the laundry room. Although, her clothes are kind of wrinkly. Maybe I'll just pop them out and iron them real quick...
