Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! I spent Mother's Day with my Mom and I thought of my Grandma. If she were still alive, I would have brought her a two pound box of See's candies (nuts and chews, of course). She always told us not to bring her gifts, but she never turned down candy. She had a bigger sweet tooth than even I do.
My Mom and I celebrated yesterday by having a casual lunch at her house in front of the fire (we had planned to have a picnic at the lake by her house, but since we're in a perpetual state of winter, you know that didn't happen.) I brought her some tulips and hanging basket for her deck. Then we ran some errands (D:Fi is on sale at Ulta right now - I snapped up the buy two get one free deal) and went to Ross. I love going to Ross when I'm not really looking for anything. Then when you end up with a pair of shorts, some flats, a spring jacket and a scarf, you're super happy, instead of being bummed that you couldn't find the perfect pair of brown cords.
It was a nice, laid back way to spend the day.
What did you do for Mother' Day?
