April Showers

It seems like it's the time of year for baby showers! I am going to a friend's baby shower this afternoon. I was nominated to make cupcakes for the occasion, and went with white cake/white frosting/pink frosting/sprinkles. She is, of course, having a baby girl, which is great, because I love pink frosting. So that worked out well.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. (I just hope I can fit into my jeans after all the frosting that I "sampled"!)

I put some of the cupcakes on this tiered serving dish, which I thought looked rather festive.

I even have my gift all ready to go already!

Although I don't have a Martha level gift wrapping room, I do have a gift wrap/greeting card bin, so was all ready to go with tissue and an assortment of gift bags. This is great for me, because I am always wrapping things practically as we're walking out the door.

I think we may play some games ("Guess the baby food by taste" was one idea that I heard - as well as one that involves melted candy bars and diapers. Hmmmm. I might stick with the cupcakes...) It should be a fun afternoon!
