Winter Blast

With the inclement weather today, I ended up with a snow day, since the institution of higher education where I work was closed. So, I took this great opportunity to take some pics of the snow and do some baking, though not at the same time.

First, the snow pictures...

The view from the deck - much like the view from the deck last year when it snowed.

Brrrr. 32 degrees is chilly.

I nipped over to Fred Meyer to look for pants (no, I didn't find any) and saw these spring flowers covered in snow.

After Fred Meyer and a quick walk to the library, I came home and made two loaves of banana bread. Mmmmm.

So, it's been a peaceful day here in the hood. I wonder if we'll have more snow tomorrow? If we do, I might make a casserole. And then you can call me Kittykat Cleaver.
