It's getting to be that time of year again, kiddies! I don't know about you, but I've already got my yearly pilgrimage to the pumpkin patch planned. I'll be riding the little trolley at Biringer Farm to pick out the orangest, roundest, happiest looking pumpkin of them all!I love going to the pumpkin patch because it's an truly invigorating experience. Not only is it fun to pick out your very own pumpkin, but (hello!) it's an amazing photo opportunity! Push those little kids out of the way and get some great daytime (natural light is so flattering!) pictures next to the hay bales and corn stalks. No white out flash on your smiling face - no sir!
After all that fresh air, you will need a warm drink. How about some mulled wine at a friend's house while you carve up your pumpkins? (Or just a can of cold PBR, I'm not picky.) Then you can put your feet up and watch your photo slideshow on the television. You look great, you've got a festive jack o' lantern for your deck (or balconey, in my case) and you're all ready for Halloween.
Take a deep satisfied breath, pat yourself on the back and...start hyperventilating, because SHIT, you don't have a Halloween costume yet!!!! (Insert "Psycho" music here.)
Not to worry, check back tomorrow and I will set you up with some sweet costume ideas. Now get back to your drink and play the slideshow like a good helper monkey. I want to see that one of me in the corn maze again.
