I'm in the throes of collaborating with my main "maid" (that's bridesmaid to all you folks not reading "InSyle Weddings" on a daily basis) to plan my bridal shower. I think we have struck on the motherload of all shower themes...a purse party! Enter Laura Bee Designs....I have been salivating over every handbag on this site ever since I passed by her shop in Ballard on my way to the library. I still haven't actually been inside the shop, but that's all going to change next weekend when my bridesmaid and I go on a recon mission to investigate in person.I have faith that the purses will be just what I'm looking for, as daisymayrobin showed me a custom wristlet that she got at Laura Bee and it was just so hip and cute that I wanted to put down my cold glass of cheap American beer (ok, it was getting warm because my hands have a profuse sweating problem) and race all the way to Ballard and buy one for myself...but then it was time for us to sing "Maniac" with some odd spandex clad pub crawlers, so I got distracted. BUT, I think we're definitely onto something for the bridal shower. Stay tuned...

All right... I'm getting worried. Do you have your bridal shower date picked yet? (God, I keep assuming I'm invited.) The Hub and I keep getting wedding invitations, and I'm getting worried about conflicting dates!
Of course you're invited!! I'm thinking sometime in July? I will get on it and send out a save-the-date soon - I'm making a mental note. I'll get my crack team of bridesmaids on the case.
You should do it whenever you want! I was just getting worried because we have a Saturday, August 5 wedding to go to, and I was worried it would be the same day. : (
Not to worry - I think we're going to do it sometime in early to mid July, because that's when my aunt from California is going to be here.
It IS getting to be wedding season, though! We've got two to attend in June...
