Port Townsend

The trip to Port Townsend went off without a hitch on Sunday. We checked out the reception site at Fort Worden and made sure that the outdoor patio would be big enough for the ceremony. Check and Check.

We made it to the cake appointment on time and got to try two different types of cake! Mmmm! We chose the cake that we (and by "we", I mean, "I") wanted lickety split and got out of there in about a half hour, which left us ample time to research rehearsal dinner spots.

T's was out right off the bat, because it was located in a strip mall! Ew. The Manresa castle was very nice, but the man we needed to speak with had just left for the day. However, we did get to look around and observe a Renaissance Fair style wedding that was taking place. Lots of fair maidens and knights were milling around. Aaron noted that parents of the betrothed looked very uncomfortable, to say the least. They were dressed in Dockers and polo shirts and were probably cursing their nerdy offspring behind their stiff smiles.

The last place we checked, Fin's, had a beautiful view of the water, but it turns out that they aren't available the weekend of the wedding.

After all that energy expended, we needed a break and stopped for a slice at the Pizza Factory. (We toss 'em, they're awesome!) It was excellent pizza, so maybe we'll just order in for the rehearsal dinner.
