I currently have "Hung Up" by Madonna as my ringtone on my cell phone. I got rid of "Crazy Train" a while ago because Ozzy's laugh sounded pretty ominous every time I got a call and it was creeping me out a little bit. I'm ready for a change, however, so I'm searching for a new ringtone that will make me happy to get a call and not annoy everyone within a two mile radius of me. But it's just so tempting to pick something obnoxious that I can barely resist.
Speaking of which...T-Mobile has "Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon as a ringer choice! OMG! I remember when I used to watch the soap "Loving" (it was total crap) and "Can't Fight This Feeling" was Trisha and Steve's song. It was heartbreaking because Trisha was from the rich Alden family and Steve was a poor auto mechanic and Trisha's conniving mother hated Steve, but damnit, they had true love because they had REO Speedwagon to keep them together. (Not to be confused with REO Speedealer - or just Speedealer as they are now known.)
A couple other tempting options are "Mr. Robato" by Styx and "Brick House" by the Commodores. How much would you want to be sitting next to me when I get a phone call with one of those ringtones?
The song that was the most difficult for me to pass up was "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. I almost clicked on it! Almost! You can just imagine Aaron slinking away from me, face red with embarrassment, when my phone rings ("I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, so sexy it hurts") when we're at the Tin Hat and all the hipsters turn to look at us with disdain.
Much as I like really crappy songs, I have finally decided to download "Praise You" by Fatbloy Slim. (Or, "Praise Me", as I like to sing it...as in, "You have to praise me.")

I vote for I'm Too Sexy! Screw those Tin Hat hipsters. Also, not to beat a dead horse, but I was just at Ikea, and they too have signs up that they will be open until 7pm on Easter! Maybe Target will be open?
Sadly, the recorded message for Target said that they'll be closed this Sunday...but good to know that there are other options! All hope it not lost! :-)
And, speaking of ringtones, there's some Barry Manilow there for your Hub! (if you have T-Mobile) I didn't see any Carpenters...but there's always Right Said Fred!
Thanks for the Manilow tip! Yes, we are on T-mobile... but I may have to get some education from you on song downloading. We've never done it before! I have the standard "gay disco beats" that came with the phone as my ring right now. : )
It's really easy! Just go to tmobile.com and sign into your account. Click on "Downloads" and then "Ringtones". Then you just pick the song that you want and click "Buy Now" (you can listen to them all first before you make your choice). It will download to your phone where you just have to select it from your phone's rintone menu - and domo origato - you've got yourself a new ringtone! Good luck!
