Well, my prayers were answered! I found that there WERE stores open on Easter! It's a miracle. (Ok, actually, once daisymayrobin pointed out that Ikea and Trader Joe's would be open, I checked around and found that a few other stores would be open, too.)
So, we got in some quality shopping at Fred Meyer and a Happy Easter was had by all. I still think today should be a holiday, but I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with a personal day off for my birthday. (Which is May 1st, if you're keeping track.)
