Langley

Today I went to Whidbey Island with my Mom, since she is on summer vacation, too. It was a gorgeous day! We took the ferry from Mukilteo and the water was absolutely beautiful.


We took the Kittitas ferry on the way there and the Cathlamet on the way back. Those two boats have been doing that run for as long as I can remember.

When we got to Langley, we stopped at a bakery for lunch.

It was delish!

We wandered around and looked at the shops. Then we walked down to the water and saw some sea kayakers. That looks fun, but kayaking is a lot of work. I usually try to sit in the back of the double kayak and only paddle intermittently. (But shhhhhh, don't tell anyone.)

After we hiked back up from the water, we looked at a few real estate offices to see what's for sale. I would love to have a vacation home on the south end of the island. Maybe someday!

We toodled around a bit more and then headed back on the ferry.

It was a fun day, but all that sun turned me into one huge freckle! Just call me Pippi...
