You know how sometimes you go to a restaurant or coffee place once and it's great, but then you go back and it sucks? Not so with Seven. Every time I've been there, I have gotten excellent service (fast, friendly and with no pretentious airs), flavorful tea (I like peppermint tea in the afternoon) and a relaxing environment in which to enjoy said tea.
Seven's decor is ecclectic. They took plywood and used it to create definition on the walls -the pieces have been cut to make linear designs. It's not something I would have thought would look cool, but it works, and gives the space an industrial art studio feel. There are also art pieces along the walls to look at and a comfy vintage couch in the back, if you like to sit on something cushy.Speaking of sitting, the other great thing about Seven is that every time I have gone there, I have been able to find seating. There are stools that line a bar along the front window that are perfect to sit at with a friend and watch the world go by, while catching up on the hot gossip (not that I would ever gossip per se, I just, ah, share information). That's another good thing about Seven - you can have a good chat and nobody gives you dirty looks for not silently reading a paper or working on your laptop.
Seven is an excellent addition to the neighborhood - it's just the right balance of comfortable and quietly stylish.
