Once Bitten

I first became aware of Sarah Jessica Parker's Bitten line at Steve and Barry's when I saw a sneak preview about it on The Budget Fashionista's blog. I thought Bitten was a dumb name, too, and I didn't think we had any Steve and Barry's stores out here in the Seattle area, so I didn't pay too much attention.

Then, I later read about how Steve and Barry's legal team decided to handle the negative comments that were posted regarding the initial sneak preview post on TBF's blog. I wasn't impressed and figured, I'll never shop there anyway, and good, too, because they are sore losers that people don't like the clothing line.

Meanwhile, I started reading about Lindsay's rehab and Paris' jail sentence, and I temporarily forgot about SJP and her Bitten clothes...until I saw her on Oprah. Oprah and Sarah Jessica were slobbering all over each other about how great it was to offer "affordable clothing" to American women "of all sizes". (So, ah, if you're a fat-ass poor mo-fo, then these clothes are for you?) Oprah went on to say that all the clothing in the Bitten line costs under 20 bucks. I was slightly interested, but changed the channel, because we don't have Steve and Barry's out here...

Or do we? When searching around online today, I stumbled upon this bit of info regarding the grand opening of a Steve and Barry's store at the Everett Mall, June 20th, which is today! Well, hell's bells! Ok, Sarah Jessica Parker, you've got me by the balls. (Alright, I don't really have balls. It's an expression.) I see the purse in this picture is $9.98.

Way to go for the jugular! You know I have no willpower when it comes to purses. So I'll have to go to this Steve and Barry's store and check it out for myself.

(Now, if we could just get an damn H&M out here, I'd be really happy.)

Um, sister... Kelly and I drove out to the Auburn Supermall last Saturday for the Steve and Barry's there! I bought a Bitten shirt and a ring, and Kelly got a t-shirt. We wanted more, but it was all casual summer clothes and already picked over. We want to go back in August for the Autumn line. I think we'll jive better with that style. Good luck in Everett! Tell me how it goes.

That's cool! I didn't know there was a Steve and Barry's in Auburn! I was convinced we didn't have that store out here - but I'm glad I was wrong! I'll give you a full report on the one in Everett!
