Top Of The Pops

Are there any popstars that you're just completely embarrassed to admit that you like? (Or is it just embarrassing to admit you like popstars in the first place?) Well, as always, I have two confessions to make. One, I like Fergie. She's Fergalicious. She puts them boys on block rock. (Or is it "rock, rock"?) Two, I like Justin Timberlake. He brought sexy back, which I am ever so grateful for.

Of course, there are a lot of pop singers that I don't like. Take Gwen Stefani, for example. Have you heard "Wind It Up"?? I mean, really - the woman yodels! Next she'll be throwing down "Ricola" cough drop ads to a dance beat and blowing one of those big Swiss horns.

While I love Gwen Stefani's fashion style, Fergie's music is much catchier. (And even though she can't dance in high heels, as she displayed in the Billboard Awards show last week, I'm willing to cut her some slack for not subjecting me to an alpine medley.)

Although I never have and never will buy any of their albums, I think Jessica Simpson is cute, and I like that Pink is not a "stupid girl." There is my embarrasing admission!

Just for the record, I think Jessica Simpson is cute, too.

Matthew, you like a Jessica Simpson song? I'm shocked!

I didn't catch the Madonna concert on NBC, but I heard it was fabulous. She is a wonderful entertainer.

I don't like the Grateful Dead culture (death to patchouli!), but I did listen to the Grateful Dead in college. (I actually went to see them, which was an experience.) I do still sort of like the song "Truckin'", though, if we're letting out dirty little music secrets...
