After all that hiking at the falls, Aaron and I drove to North Bend to search for the "Twin Peaks" diner.

The outside looks pretty cool. I love this sign!

The inside, on the other hand, is kind of weird. It doesn't look at all like the diner in the show. There was an American/red-white-blue theme mixed with a Tweety Bird theme. There were stuffed animal Tweety birds stapled to the walls and an assortment of odd 80's looking framed posters. There was, however, a collection of "Twin Peaks" photos and articles displayed on the wall in the back hall outside the restrooms.
But how was the food? I had a salad with ranch dressing. It was like a Denny's salad with iceberg lettuce and shredded carrots, shredded cabbage and small croutons. I'm ok with that, though. I like iceberg lettuce. Aaron had a catfish hoagie with fries. He thought it was pretty good.
What about the pie, though? Not to worry - I had cherry pie a la mode

and a cup of coffee. Aaron asked me if it was a damn fine cup of coffee. Honestly? It was a bit burnt. But it was hot and it came in this nifty mug, so I can't complain.

I was kind of hoping to run into the Log Lady or
Sherilyn Fenn, but sadly, they did not make an appearance. So we had to settle for our server who called me "Hon" (which I find endearing), and bitched about the people that had just left the table next to us, who let their kids tear up all her sugar packets.
Overall, it was fun to check out the diner and I would never pass on a chance for pie!
