Now that my hair has grown out long enough to wear in a ponytail or up in a clip, I, of course, want to cut it all off or color it all white blonde like Gwen Stefani. The woman that threads my eyebrows added fuel to the fire by suggesting that my hair would look great with layers and more blonde pieces. I just tried to grow out all my layers, but oddly, having layers again sounds very appealing and would satisfy my urge to cut, without losing the hard earned length. And I'm always up for more blonde. I am ready for a change and feeling in a gambling mood, so I am going to make an appointment with the woman she recommended for cuts and already have an appointment tomorrow with the woman she recommended for color. I am throwing caution to the wind.
I have some pictures that I cut out of magazines, like one of Britney (I know, I know, but this is a picture of her from a Kevyn Aucoin book and she looks pretty hot. I think the picture was taken pre-Kfed/pre-meltdown), and a picture of a random lady in an ad for hair extensions, whose hair looks textured, but soft, and about about 15 others that I plan to cart along for visual aids.
When I explain how I want my hair, I am going to present the pictures and add that I still want my hair to be long enough to pull back. I feel kind of lame to add that caveat, but it makes it hard to work out if I can't put my hair in a ponytail. The color is pretty simple. I just want it lighter all over.
So, we'll see! It may all end in tears with me running back to my old stylist, tail between my legs, begging her to fix it. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

When is your appt? Will you be premiering your new look on Saturday?
Yep! You'll get to see the new color on Saturday! I still have to make the cut appt, though. I'll probably try to make it for next week. It's all about baby steps.
