FB

I've been enjoying getting on the bandwagon with Facebook! Everyone and their brother is on it and I'm happy to be getting with the program.

I think the most fun is to chat with people and look at their pictures, check their updates and make witty little comments on their walls. I like the features like "25 Random Things About Me" and I like that you can just log in for a few minutes, say howdy and then move on. It's not something you have to dedicate hours to updating, although, I admit that I do probably spend more time on Facebook than I should.

The strangest part of Facebook has been finding people from high school. I went to four different high schools, so people have been coming out of the woodwork. I found one friend that I've been trying to find for 13 years! I've also been found by people that I barely knew in high school and am not quite sure why they want to connect with me. I have talked with other friends from the present that are experiencing the same phenomenon. There is one girl from the high school that I graduated from that has tried to friend me a couple times and I cannot for the life of me remember her at all! Being forgotten is my worst nightmare, so I have been selecting people with care, so that I don't end up in the "Who the f*ck are you?" boat.

It's interesting to see where people are living, whether they're married or divorced, have found the Lord (one of my girlfriends from high school - who was kind of a party girl back then - listed on her 25 random things that she had been SAVED!!), have kids, dyed their hair, look the same, have impressive jobs, MBAs or funny "remember when" stories to share and entertain me.

I have some friends that are holding out on making a Facebook page of their own. I think they're missing out! Facebook is a strange mix of weird and wonderful and I'm glad that I'm finally on it!
