Monkeying Around

I have driven by Monkey Grind Espresso Bar on 85th countless times. It looked cute, but I just never made it in for a cuppa joe, because whenever I passed by, I was in my car on my way somewhere else.

That all changed this past Sunday. K and I were out doing a bit o' shopping, (Christmas shopping, you ask? Well, I have been awfully good this year, so I was, uh, Christmas shopping for myself) and we had just finished looking around at Tweed. The afternoon was winding down, it was chilly out, and we were in need of a pick-me-up. On the way back to my car, we passed Monkey Grind Espresso Bar. It looked inviting and so we popped in. We were so glad we did! The decor is warm and cozy and the barista was really friendly. I got a mocha, K got a lemonade and we both got their version of McMuffin. They heat up an egg, bacon and cheese English muffin in a panini maker, so it's all hot and melty. Mmmm. Delish.

It was a great way to end a fun day of shopping!
