I decided to start a new feature on this here blog. After reading the Budget Fashionista's book, I realized how the part that I enjoyed reading about most were about the amazing deals that she found out in the marketplace. So, at the end of every month, I am going to try to list my top five best deals that I've found in the past four weeks or so. Here goes the first list...
September 2008 - Top five Best Deals
1. Teal scarf (a "pop of color" and a trendy jewel tone for fall - although it looks a bit grey in this picture) - Ross - $8.99
2. H&M velvet pea coat - Goodwill Lynnwood - 30% off of $9.99 (There was a Manager's Special deal that day, so all women's clothes were 30% off, except for Glitter tags.)
3. Banana Republic jeans - Goodwill Lynnwood - $12.99 (this one was a Glitter tag, so no extra discount.)
4. White enamel flower necklace - Forever 21 - it was either $4.94 or $5.94
5. Brown Banana Republic boots - Ross - $39.99 (I almost fell over when I saw these, because I've never seen anything else from Banana Republic at Ross before!)
*So, that's September's top five best deals, kids.
*Note that I didn't list the Biviel boots that I got at Nordy's that were so expensive I had to do some major cost-per-wear analysis and get reassurance from both Aaron and my Mom that they were "good quality" and "totally worth it". (I couldn't find these on the Nordstrom website, but I see Zappos has them - and for cheaper! Damn!)

How can H&M, who JUST got here, already be infiltrating Goodwill?? Or, was it a used coat?
I was wondering that myself - the coat was used so maybe the person who donated it bought it somewhere that has had an H&M for a while, like NYC or San Francisco. Whatever the reason, I was excited to find it! :-)
