Lorac Foundation

I haven't used liquid foundation since 10th grade, when I was a Clinique Pore Minimizer devotee. But then, they stopped making it and I gave up on foundation for a long time and just used loose powder by itself. Then the mineral foundation craze started and so I've been using Bare Minerals foundation for the past couple years.

Recently, I got a Lorac's Breakthrough Performance Foundation sample at Sephora.

I wasn't all that excited about it, but free is free, right? I tried it a few days later, thinking it would totally suck. Well, they gave me the shade called SMS 2, and it's an exact match! I liked it so much that I went back and bought a full size container a couple weeks later.

The Lorac foundation blends perfectly with my skin. It's just the right color so that there is no demarcation line on my jaw (how embarrassing when that happens!). It blends right into my skin and doesn't feel cake-y or drying. (I guess you'd call it "flawless" coverage - isn't all make-up being touted as "flawless" these days?) It feels light, like moisturizer and doesn't have any offensive smell. I have not experienced any sensitivity when using it and it hasn't made me break out, since it's oil-free.

And, anyone that is into packaging - the foundation is housed in the coolest pump dispenser! You twist the bottom and the pump pops up. It looks very high tech and stylish. I am a sucker for packaging.

If you're looking for a new foundation, I highly recommend this one by Lorac. It's super fantastic!
