Every morning, I lay out my make-up and hairstyling tools on the dresser in the bedroom. (I store all the product in the drawers when not in use, so not to worry - the top of the dresser is nice and tidy and not covered with hairspray cans and crap.) While getting ready, I like to listen to tunes, but prior to a few weeks ago, all I had was this, um, "vintage" clock radio that I've had since 8th grade.
While I enjoy listening to KEXP, C89 and sometimes a little classic rock, there are times when there is just nothing to my liking and the airwaves are filled with crap like Phil Collins or Celine Dion. Not to mention that the sound quality of my clock radio leaves much to be desired.
After getting the iPod nano, I thought maybe I could just listen to that with headphones. Well, friends, it's pretty freakin' hard to style your hair while wearing headphones. So that wasn't a viable option. (Hi, I'd like to return these headphones. Why are they all melted and covered in burnt hair? Well, I had a little, uh, mishap with my flat iron...)
So, as usual, I enlisted Aaron's help to research and ultimately purchase some iPod speakers. We got these sweet Logitech speakers a couple weeks ago and I have been enjoying them ever since.
The sound quality is excellent and the speakers come with a tiny remote. A travel bag is also included, so you can take your tunes on the road. The speakers plug to an electrical outlet, or you can unplug them and use them without the cord, because the unit is chargeable. (Speaking of charging, the added bonus is that your iPod gets charged when docked.)
The speakers were only about $80 on the interweb and now we're rockin' with Dokken! (Or Death Cab, Girltalk, or the Ting Tings, as the case may be.)
