I've had the same little Samsung camera phone ever since I first got a cell phone plan, back when we lived in the old house. It was so cool when I first got it! I loved that it had a camera and I took pictures of everything until it's little memory was overloaded and I realized the pictures were such low quality that they were really only good for phone wallpaper. But I was locked into a two year plan with T-Mobile and I was just excited to have a cell phone at all.
Anyway, time passed and my phone seemed crappier and crappier compared to everyone else's fancy Razr. And then everyone started texting and I couldn't get my goddamn phone to text. I could receive texts, I could just never reply to them. I even enlisted Aaron's help and we just couldn't get it to work. So, since my cell phone contract with T-Mobile expired in February, I was a free agent, so to speak. I asked Aaron to pick out a good phone with a camera and he set off to CNET to investigate my options. (I research jeans and shirts for him, but I don't do technology research. Yawn.)
He came up with the LG Dare.
So, we went on a mission to the Verizon store at Northgate. We zeroed in on the Dare and the salesman helped me cancel my T-Mobile service and get set up with Verizon. He even asked me where I work, because some companies are eligible for discounts. I didn't think I would be, but I was! Sweet!
Now, I can take good pictures and video, text and, of course, make calls. Here's a photo of the Pig n' Whistle that I took with my old phone.
And here's one that I took with my new phone (Yep, they painted the Pig n' Whistle and are slated to re-open sometime soon).
The Dare also has internet/email access, if you sign up for that package, but I don't see myself using (or wanting to pay for) that function.
So, feel free to txt me and I'll txt u back! Welcome to the 21st century, Kittykat.
