Nano Nano

The last few weeks have been tough on Kittykat. It's been hellish at work, a nasty rash surfaced on my chest (Stress induced? Probably) and things generally seemed distasteful and not really blog worthy. But, then my Nano arrived and my mood has turned around, if just slightly.

Am I speaking of an iPod Nano, you ask? No, I'm talking about my shiny new BaByliss Pro Nano Titanium Mini Flat Iron. How did I hear of this wonderful flat iron? Well, I get email updates from Folica.com, which is helpful, but tempting at the same time. I try not to impulse buy, and I actually have been looking for a mini flat iron for my bangs....soooo, when Folica emailed me and featured the Babyliss mini flat iron for $29.95, plus shipping, I had to order it. Had to.

When I asked my hairstylist, she even said that Babyliss is a good brand for hairstyling tools, so that was reassuring. Also, this iron is the tiniest that I've ever seen! Way smaller (and WAY cheaper) than the T3 mini that I was eyeing at Sephora.

When my flat iron arrived and I took it out of its box, it reminded me a baby alligator. (You know, because it's little and when it sits on the counter, it sits in the open position, like an alligator's mouth. Really.)

It's about 6 inches long and only a half and inch wide on the plate part. You can really tell how small it is when I set it next to my regular sized flat iron.

After scanning the directions, I was amused to read this on the safety instructions - "Never use while sleeping".

After being sure that I was fully awake and not dozing off, I plugged in the flat iron and turned it on. It heats up almost immediately and it's so small that I can practically get to the very root of my hair for full flat ironing potential. It makes my unruly bangs lie down and behave. I absolutely love it!
