It's time to check in about the my Avon Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel trials. Did it work? Do I have any skin left? Would I buy it again? I know you have many burning questions and I am here to answer them.
I have been using Avon peel pads for about a month and a half. The label says you should see results after four weeks. What kind of results? Well, the type of results that are subjective and hard to measure, of course. Results such as increased skin clarity, tighter pores, fewer blackheads and glowy skin.
I asked Aaron if my skin looks any different and he doesn't think so. Neither does my Mom. I trust them to be brutally honest, so I don't think they would yank my chain about something at vitally important as skincare.
Now, I don't think my skin looks bad, per se, but I also don't think it's looks a whole lot different than when I started. The peel pads made my skin feel smoother right after application and I haven't had any major breakouts since I've been using them, which are both good things (although, I've gone a month in the past without breaking out when I wasn't using the Avon chemical peel). It did cause my skin to tingle after application and I noticed some "bothersome peeling" as dermatologists always say, which was annoying. I was able to avoid that by putting it on at night and then exfoliating the next morning.
So, will I buy it again? I'm thinking no. It didn't really make a whole lot of difference and at the end of the day, why spend 25 bucks (about $33 with tax and shipping) on something that you can't tell you're using. I'd be better off spending $33 on drinks. Then I'd definitely look better. (After fourth drink, enter bathroom. Look in mirror. Damn, I look fiersh. Thash right. Time for another drinkie for the hottie in the mirror!)
