As you know, I have been watching the development of the construction on the land where Thriftko and Hancock Fabrics used to be. Their old sign still stands, however. I wonder if they take it down at some point?
Near the Thrifko sign, I saw this pronouncement for Piper Village.
It states that the new development will be a pedestrian village with mixed use space. All I could think of when I saw the name is that Run DMC song called Peter Piper (RIP Jam Master Jay) from the album "Raising Hell" that my aunt got me for 11th birthday (I was street even way back in the day). But in reality, it must be the same Piper that Piper's Creek is named after,
which I realized when I saw this sign as I was walking home.
But I still think Peter Piper's Village has a certain ring to it, don't you?
