Bavarian Goth Getaway

We booked our hotel for the weekend we're going to Sasquatch (To see the Cure! And Robert Smith!) at the Gorge! All the hotels/motels in Ephrata, Quincy and many in Wenatchee were sold out already. Aaron thought Ellensburg might be a good alternative. I suggested Leavenworth, since it's kind of quaint and filled with German beer. Aaron agreed after I said I'd drive (or at least we could take turns) on the way back from the Gorge, because I don't plan on drinking anything (except water) at the show. (I want to spend as little time as possible in the porta potties. Ew. I feel nauseous just thinking about it.)

We booked two nights at the Bavarian Lodge.

I thought we could make a weekend of it, since it's Memorial Day weekend and all. The hotel has an outdoor pool, two hot tubs and a full breakfast buffet. Wunderbar! It will be just like when I lived in Germany in high school and listened to the Cure all the time. Except we'll be in a faux German village in Eastern Washington and Robert Smith will be fat. Potato potahto.

My co-worker told me today that Flight of the Conchords are going to be at Sasquatch. Is it true? I would love to see them!

Yep, it's true - but they're going to be there on Monday and we only have a ticket for Sunday. Rats! I would love to see them live, too! It's business time!
