We recently bought a ginormous flat screen tv at Costco at Aaron's behest. (Our old tv made everyone look green, supposedly, although I have to say that I never really noticed.) Upon inserting it into the tv cabinet, the edge of the tv scuffed up the front of the cabinet shelf, leaving an unsightly gash in the veneer. What to do? I thought there was some type of wood colored touch up that we could buy and so Aaron toodled over to Fred Meyer to see what they had.
What they had was an awesome pen
that you just shake and then apply the stain to the scuff and whammo, scuff-b-gone. It's like a felt pen, so you don't need a paint brush or anything. I covered up all the nicks on the tv cabinet and the stereo console.
BEFORE
AFTER
It was super easy to use and though it's not perfect, it's great if you have no patience and just want to slap something on to cover up scratches so you can't see them at a distance and/or in poor lighting.
