Re-use and Make-up

When I went to buy the Diamond Lil eyeshadow, I made a mental note that I'd need to buy the little re-usable pot to go along with it. Stila has always had these paper eyeshadow holders with a magnet on the bottom part to hold the eyeshadow pan and little quotes on the inside of the lid.

While I think it's great to re-use things, I didn't like how banged up and funky looking the paper got after a while. I ended up just buying a new paper pot each time I bought a new eyeshadow, with totally defeats the purpose of re-use! Plus, when I use eyeshadow that costs $18 a pop, I want the container to feel pretty damn luxe and the paper ones just weren't cutting it.

So, I was so excited when I saw that Stila has NEW eyeshadow pans that are made out of metal AND they have a clear top, so that you can see which color is in the container. Sweet!

The new pots have more weight, they're shiny and they look like they're going to hold up really well. The only sad thing is that there's no thought provoking quote on the lid anymore, but I'm willing to sacrifice that for something that will last and make me feel like I'm pampering myself. (But, not with actual Pampers. Riiiiiight, we've been over that.)
