Ephrata Booty

My Dad has been over east-of-the-mountains working on my Grandma's house for the past few weeks. Every time he comes back, he brings me vintage treasures that used to belong to my Grandma that she no longer needs. (She's in assisted living now.) This last time, I didn't expect anything because the house is pretty much cleared out and is in the process of being restored and somewhat remodeled to make it ready to rent.

So, when my Dad presented me with two bags of stuff the other day, I was surprised. And after I looked at the stuff, I was ecstatic! I share with you a few of my favorite things...

Two girl jester prints (my Mom said these actually used to belong to my other Grandma - my Mom's mom - so we're not sure how they ended up at my Grandma's in Ephrata):

A banana holder (it's a kind of a banana hammock really, but not that kind of banana hammock):

And, last but not least, a Hamm's ashtray. Something something sky blue water - Hamm's the beer refreshing - sing it with me now!

So, thanks to Dad and Grandma Rose!

So, this has been making me crazy trying to remember the Hamm's jingle so I googled "Hamm's" (what in the hell did we do before google??) and did you know there's a Hamm's Club? It's like a fan club - for Hamms! There's a buy/sell section for memoribilia and FAQs that answer such burning questions as "Where do I buy that great Hamms beer?"
Incidentally, it's from the land of sky blue wa-ha-ters.

I didn't know there's a Hamm's club! Sign me up! :-) Thanks for looking up that jingle, too! I don't know if I've ever actually had a can of Hamm's, but I'm sure it's as refreshing as Rainier or Oly!
