but since it got cancelled, I'll probably just stay home on Monday and watch "How I Met Your Mother". We were planning to return the tickets and get our money back, when Aaron pointed out that we could use the very same tickets to see the Cure at the Sasquatch festival next Memorial Day weekend. My first reaction was, "No way, Jose, I want my 50 bucks back." I assumed they would refund all the handling fees (the tickets themselves were $39 each), so I was already mentally calculating what I could afford to buy at Sephora for $50...Benefit Powder Pop!...a Nars lipgloss...or maybe some RareMinerals.
Aaron helpfully pointed out that tickets to Sasquatch can range anywhere from $55 to $75 per day - and that's before the selling fee, handling fee, shipping fee, etc. As he knows, I am always keen to find a bargain, so I'm sure he knew that appealing to the cheapskate in me would win me over. He was right. I thought to myself, "Heh, heh, not only will I get to see the Cure, I will be getting a great deal, too! Plus, I'll finally get to go to the Gorge to see a show
AND I'll probably get to see other cool bands, if last year's line-up is any indication."So, it's time to start stocking up on SPF 100 sunblock, some kind of fun headcovering (straw hat or maybe a burka?), and definitely time to research a motel in the area. Because this girl doesn't camp.
I can't wait to hear the full list of bands playing in Sasquatch 2008!

Why was The Cure show cancelled?
They said something about needing more time to finish a new double album. Here's what they said on their site:

I was bummed at first, but now I'm getting excited to go to Sasquatch!
