Victoria

Our last stop on the cruise before heading home to Seattle, was in Victoria, BC. (So this is the last cruise post!) I've been to Victoria before, but Aaron hadn't. We were only there for a few hours, but it was nice to wander around and, of course, take some photos.

The weather was quite warm, which was nice, because Alaska was pretty cold (except for Juneau - it was warm-ish the day we were there.)

We walked around the downtown area and saw the Empress

the harbor

and some beautiful flowers.

After a bit of walking, we decided to kick back and have a beer at this bar called Big Bad John's.

It had an eclectic decor that reminded me a cross between the Tin Hat and the 3B...except they had something neither of those bars have/had (may the 3B rest in peace) for decoration. They had tons of bras hanging all over the place!

After a couple beers, we decided it was time to go back to the ship. So, we got a cab (a Prius!) and on the way, we passed the Empress and got to see it all lit up.

After getting back on the ship, we sailed away Saturday evening and arrived in Seattle early Sunday morning (which was September 2nd - and, coincidentally, our one year wedding anniversary!). We had one last breakfast on the ship and then disembarked, picked up our luggage and got a cab home.

It was a great trip, but like always, I was happy to come home to Seattle!
