Everybody Loves a Parade

The Greenwood Seafair Parade was last night! Unlike last year, this year I was prepared. I didn't panic when I saw Greenwood blocked off and knew that I just had to take a bit of a curcuitous route to make it home.

Once home, I waited for Aaron (he had to get off the bus at 80th and walk up Greenwood) and then we scurried downstairs to the front of our building and found a choice vantage point on the street.

We saw kids dressed as cars promoting the use of biodiesel.

Also promoting the use of, ah, alternative fuel, were these creative chaps:

We saw a cute little dog who had hurt his back legs, but didn't let it stop him from being in the parade. (He was with the PAWS group.)

There was an odd Nordic man pulling a string of ducks.

Even the Lincoln Toe Truck (which I have loved since I was a little and my dad would take me to work with him when he worked in the Smith Tower) made an appearance.

And, of course, what Seafair parade would be complete without the Seafair pirates?

A fun time was had by all and it was great to just pop back inside our building after the festivities ended.
