Rockin' With Dokken

The Tascam bass trainer saga has come to a close. I got the damn thing back from American Music, who had sent it back to Tascam to be "fixed". Upon using it, I was frustrated to discover that it still used the term "play" loosely. Sometimes it would play and sometimes it wouldn't. Plus, it didn't like to play burned CDs, which is a major problem, because most of my CDs are copies.

Watch out bass trainer, your days are numbered.

Instead of having a stroke from annoyance, I decided to bag the bass trainer and write it off as a loss. (I have considered bashing it to pieces ala the fax machine in "Office Space", but it has escaped that fate thus far.) In the meantime, I have gone back to my trusty practice amp. And, so far so good. No complaints from the neighbors, Aaron can't hear me play the same five songs over and over when he's in the office, and I don't have to wrangle with headphone cords.

The fantastic and reliable practice amp.

My bass amp is quieter because I can't turn it up to "11".

It's almost a win-win, except that I STILL haven't gotten any offers from Hells Belles even though I speak a little German (Jawohl, das ist wahr) AND I can play "You shook me all night long", as well as "Back in Black". (Ok, in all honesty, there is one part of "Back in Black" that I find a tiny bit tricky.)
