Girlprops sounds like it could be a store that sells naughty accroutements for use with your lovah, but in reality, it is an inexpensive jewelry store. (Most items are priced in the $2 - $12 range with just a handful of exceptions.)
I had the pleasure of going to Girlprops on a trip to New York a few years ago, which was lovely. (I bought a ton of super cute necklaces with pictures of smutty 50s novel covers and faux glass beaded necklaces, which they sadly are not currently selling.) They have a variety of pendants, bracelets, cocktail rings and glittery barrettes. They do not, however, have a store out here in the Seattle area. But, unlike H&M, they do have an online store!
Girlprops is like an edgy Claire's. And like Claire's they have a lot of items that would appeal to the "tween" set. Their prices are so great, though, that you just have to skip over the "Word" pins (which sport inpiring words like SLUT, SK8R, and LOL) and the unicorn earrings (What? You like the unicorn earrings? Well, knock yourself out) and get to the cute necklaces, like this one and this one. (Or this bird charm necklace, if you want to get into the sparrow necklace craze.)
Their tagline is "For girls of all ages", which is nice and all-inclusive. So get to shopping, my bargain hunting sisters!
