To help you understand what I'm working with, here are the "before" pictures of my closet :
So many purses and so much crap...
Not absolutely terrible, no, but it wouldn't make it into "Sunset" magaine, now would it? It also doesn't make me feel excited to get dressed. It makes me want to stay in my Hello Kitty pajamas and watch "Designed to Sell" on HGTV.
So, I knew something had to change. To help me get motivated for this project, I turned to a book called "Nothing to Wear?: A Five-Step Cure for the Common Closet" by Joe Lupo and Jesse Garza. The book is filled with helpful suggestions and they present their ideas in a fun and easy-to-read format (with great pictures!). To get started, they suggest buying all new matching hangers (I did and they're so pretty!) and getting some type of "closet system". So, I bought a ClosetMaid brand organizer kit at Lowe's.
The real fun will begin this weekend, when I enlist Aaron's help to install the closet system. Tune in on Monday to find out if we're still married after this home improvement escapade...
