You know how in high school whenever you wanted to drive it seemed like your parents would say things like, "It's not you that we're worried about, it's the other guy." Well, today, I had a brush with the "other guy". Or other girl, in this case.I was toodling along 85th, just about to make that left to veer over onto the on-ramp to I-5. I was listening to KEXP and thinking how tired I am and how I'm looking forward to our upcoming four-day weekend.
Then, just as I was about to change the radio station to C-89 (I love KEXP, but I can't take reggae), a little white compact car came whizzing around the bend...TOWARD me!!! Holy sh*t! It took me a split second to realize this crazy bitch was going against oncoming traffic and coming straight for me! I cranked the wheel of my car to the right and dodged out of the way into the next lane. I felt like a driver in Gran Turismo (which I typically tend to suck at). Thankfully, the other lane was free of cars.
I was able to avert disaster, thank God, but I didn't see where crazy white car ended up or if she ran into anyone else.
So, this Thanksgiving, I am thankful that I didn't get into a head-on collision. Because people that use on-ramps as off-ramps, generally don't have car insurance. Not to mention that head trauma is never a good addition to the holidays.

I'm so glad you're okay! That's quite scary. Please have a great (and safe) Thanksgiving!
Thank you! I'm really glad to have averted disaster, also. I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving, too! :-)
