We finally got a scanner! Aaron and I spent all day on Sunday scanning childhood photographs for the wedding photo montage. It's pretty easy to scan, although, it is rather time consuming. My main challenge was choosing which photos to include. I am the oldest kid in my family (I have one younger brother), so my parents took boat loads of pictures of me, since it was new and novel to them to have a little crumb cruncher running around. Aaron, on the other hand, is the youngest of three boys, so he has fewer photos of himself as a kid. I wanted to include almost every picture of myself, but Aaron said, "This isn't going to be The Cathy Show". (Heh, heh, isn't every day the Cathy show?) But I pared it down, because I'm a fair sort of lady.
The next task is arranging all the photos into a slideshow with some groovy music. I'm thinking something by Goldfrapp would be cool for my part of the montage, but we'll see. ("I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt", by Right Said Fred is a close runner up to Goldfrapp.)
As a preview of what's to come, I'm including the bad perm photo here. (Note: This wasn't our cat. And I don't think he was impressed with the perm either.)
