We made it back from Vegas in one piece! All in all, it was a pretty good trip. The wedding itself was beautiful and I got all choked up like somebody's grandmother when they exchanged vows. *sniff* Then it was time to stop the crying and hit the open bar, which was delightful. We finally figured out that the house where the wedding was held had been previously owned by Frank Sinatra, which was pretty damn cool. And, lucky for us, we got to stay there for two nights! The house was gorgeous and it had a pool in the living room. Super swanky.
In addition to celebrating our friends' wedding, we also made it down to the Strip, the Liberace Museum, the Pinball Hall of Fame...and down Memory Lane with all of Aaron's midwestern college pals (some of whome were Republicans, but I'm not naming names). I even got to see a video of Aaron when he was in college. I think he could have doubled as the guy from "Dazed and Confused"...
And we did it all in 110 degree weather! I'm so glad to be back in Seattle - my skin is still rehydrating. I can feel it plumping as I type...
