Spaced

Aaron and I started watching a great British show called "Spaced" over the weekend. If you liked the non-zombie parts of the horror romantic comedy movie "Shaun of the Dead", then you will love "Spaced"! The same guy (Simon Pegg) stars in both and his character is very similar.

The plot of the show is that Tim (Simon Pegg) and Daisy (Jessica Stevenson) meet in a coffee shop and during a musical montage, we see them getting to know each other and becoming friends. Meanwhile, they are both looking for a flat, but neither can find one that isn't infested with rats or out of their price range. Just when they are losing faith, Daisy sees an ad seeking a "professional couple" to rent a flat. (I guess in England you can get away with that type of profiling.) So, they pose as a couple and get the flat and hilarity ensues.

Like many fine American programs ("Freaks and Geeks" comes to mind), "Spaced" only ran for two seasons, so we'll have to enjoy it while it lasts!
