Juice Box

I have been on a juice box kick lately. I love tiny packages like that for lunches. Plus, I've been trying to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables that I consume on a daily basis, and one drink box counts as one serving of fruit. It's easy and fast and it's reminiscent of being a kid. It reminds me of these orange drinks we used to get at Aldi in Germany. The brand name was Granini and my Dad would buy them by the case. They must have been cheap, because before he was on the Granini bandwagon, it was Cragmont pop from Safeway all the way. If I never see another Dr. Skipper it will be too soon.

Speaking of Germany, I remember getting mixed drinks at the gas station that came in little cans. You could get Jack and Coke and other things already mixed in the container. I have seen that here, but not in a drink box style and not with a vodka drink. If I could, I would get vodka cran juice boxes and screwdriver juice boxes. That would be great for trips, picnics, or lunches - gotta get those servings of fruit!

I haven't seen anything resembling a vodka cocktail drink juice box here in the U.S., but if you've seen one, let me know! Until then, I guess I'll have to stick with my flask or whip up a batch of vodka cran and put it in my Hello Kitty travel mug. At least that would have the same cute factor as a juice box, albeit slightly more ghetto.
