It's A Chopper, Baby

Since we have limited-basic-unexpanded cable now, we get one premium channel. That one channel is Discovery. (Hee, hee, every time I say "Discovery Channel" it makes me think of that song that goes "You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals, so let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel). My favorite program on Discovery is "Biker Build-Off". The show is about competitions between motorcycle builders who trick out big motorcycles.

We watched an episode the other night where the one builder designed his bike so that it had hydraulics! I love hydraulics! It was really cool and he won the competition hands down. (Interestingly, during the time he was constructing his motorcycle, his wife got sick and had to go to the hospital and he didn't even go to visit her because he had a deadline to finish working on the bike. If I were his wife, I would divorce him as soon as I got unhooked from the IV drip.)

I think I'd be a little scared to actually ride a chopper (although, it might be worth it, because when people asked me, "Whose motorcycle is that?" I could say, "It's a chopper, baby"), but I think I'll stick to scootering for the time being.
