Lost

I really like the show Lost on ABC. It has intrigue, suspense and mystery. You never quite know what's going to happen next...will the Others nab someone else? Will the computer in the hatch blow up if you don't type in the numbers every 180 minutes? Will Hurley ever lose weight? But most importantly - will the main characters ever get their damn hair out of the their faces?

The hair-in-the-face is a major pet peeve of mine. Kate, Sawyer and Ana-Lucia are the main offenders. I mean, I get that they're stranded on an island. I know that they're struggling to stay alive and not get eaten, kidnapped or shot, but come on, people! I know they have rubber bands because Kate and Ana-Lucia wear their hair in ponytails! How hard can it be to pull back ALL their hair instead of leaving huge amounts to get in their eyes for the duration of an entire one hour episode?

If I were stranded on an island (or even if I were just on vacation in Mexico or something) I wouldn't want sweaty, wet hair plastered to my forehead. They're in a jungle for cripe's sake! It's freakin' hot! Not to mention that their vision is seriously impaired when the Others pop up out of nowhere. So, I would suggest either a high ponytail or maybe some nice barrettes. They might not have barrettes, you say? Ok, well they all have EARS! And ears make a nice place to tuck your hair to get it out of your damn eyes.

I'm sure they all want to look hot and ravaged, but it drives me a little bit more crazy every time I see them with their hair drooping over their eyes. Hasn't anyone ever heard of a French braid? (Do I sound like my Grandma? I do, don't I?)

I know the French braid or the barrettes wouldn't work for Sawyer, so maybe he could just put his hair behind his ears. Or not. He's pretty hot, so he doesn't bother me quite as much.
