Last night was the Greenwood Seafair Parade! I was actually not all that jazzed about it, but Aaron wanted to go down and take some pictures*, so he persuaded me to get up off the couch. (I was paralyzed with joy because for some strange reason, we still have a bunch of premium cable channels hidden in the high number channels - why? It's a complete mystery.)
Once we got down to street level, we got bird's eye seats right on the sidewalk. We saw the PAWS dogs! This little guy needs a doggie t-shirt that says, "That's how I roll."
So cute!
There were quite a few businesses in the parade - like PEMCO insurance (Socks and Sandals guy!)
And Vern Fonk! (Shapoopie!)
And the toe truck!
After standing for a while, our knees started to lock up. So Aaron raced upstairs to grab a couple of our deck chairs. Aaaaaah, that made everything more enjoyable.
There were also lots of drill teams
and some marching bands.
The Holman QFC had grocery cart choreography.
And there were the Seafair Clowns
and, of course, the Seafair Pirates! Aaarrr!
It was the best of the four Greenwood Seafair parades that I've attended. I think the chairs made a big difference.
A good time was had by all!
*Aaron took most of these pictures. I took quite a few, but later we realized that my lens had a smudge. Damn smudges!
