Garage Sale

Saturday we partook in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood garage sale at Mr. S's house. It was a day of entrenpreneurial initiative, lots of beer and the odd cookie. (I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip cookies on Friday after work. And, yes, I ate a bunch of the dough. Raw eggs don't scare me.)

We sold a fair bit of stuff, which was great!

I unloaded some old Banana Republic jeans, a skirt, and some books. Aaron sold some ties and some books and we gave some of our wares to our friends - gratis, of course. So GMoney is the proud owner of a shiny flask and I got a sweet purse from daisymayrobin! Thanks!

When we weren't moving product, we took a break to eat barbequed hot dogs (Aaron had veggie sausages) and drink a few beers while we loafed around on lawn chairs.

Aaron and I made a cool $35, which we promptly spent on post garage sale drinks at the Tin Hat. (Ok, we also made a side trip to Taco Bell...you got me.)

A great day was had by all and I hope we can do it again next year!

LOVE the photo of the purse! As I may have told you, it belonged to my grandmother, Noma, and it looks like she purchased it sometime in the 60s. It's a 99% guarantee it is from southern California where she lived from the early 1940s til 2002. So, there is your history on it!

I love that purse! Thanks again! It's neat to know its history, too. Your grandmother took excellent care of it - it's in perfect condition.

I made out like a bandit. I got a microwave from Kenny for 10 bucks. I just won't stand in front of it while it's on! Although that may insure that I'll never be a Daddy!
