I raced out and saw that the dishwasher was running and making a horrible noise, like it was clogged up! Curses! I thought for a brief second about the clear brush protector that fell out of my make-up brush glass when I turned it over and placed it on the top rack. (I did search for it, but it was nowhere to be found.) But a teeny piece of plastic couldn't cause all this commotion, right?
I shouted for Aaron to come out and look at it. He turned it off and fetched the toolbox. I found the manual and reminded him to unplug the dishwasher so he wouldn't get electrocuted. He suggested just cutting the power. Good idea!
Aaron removed the cover on the soft food shredder/compacter and I dug around in the pool of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Bingo! I found the culprit! It was indeed the plastic cover for my MAC mini 209 brush. (It looks like a crack vial, but I swear it's not.)
What a relief!
